I use a 3rd party DSL router (SMC Barricade 7004ABR) as a Virtual server gateway and firewall to the Internet. Port fowarding configuration on this router via it’s virtual server, into my W2k Server network (that has ISA server running before the network, with appropriate filters configured to point to web and ftp sites on IIS) doesnt seem to work. I use a two NIC configuration for external and internal connections between clients and the server and the Internet and the server. I also use DHCP for client IP address allocation in lieu of a static routing scheme. Ports 21 and 80 (default ftp and web ports) are open and listening. Inbound Internet traffic are configured via ISA server filter to be fowarded to the appropriate ftp and web siteson the network also ports 21 and ports 80). The appropriate host headers in IIS are configured to read the domain name / ftp to foward to the appropriate web or ftp site. External requests for FTP (port 21) into the router is configured to foward toport 21 inside the network. Any suggestions? (besides chucking the router which I’ve already considered if I can’t find help)
