Portable doc format-Adobe printing in Xp

This happens lately on my Xp machines, whenever trying to print an adobe document I get the “Portable Document Format has encountered a proble and needs to close..”
I was looking into adobe’s web page, and i can see a bunch of other frustrated people posting the same kind of error, due to some recent Xp updates ? , but no response or solution.
Anyone of you know what this is all about ?
