Portable DVD drive

I want to know that if there's a way to make a DVD drive..(basic computer's dvd drive) into a portable USB enabaled one ?

It depends on the drive, however. Some will not work this way. You'll have to check the drive's documentation.

They are great

but you can't leave the power connected permanently and turned on. They work better if you just connect them and do what is required and then diconnect and turn off the power.

10x for all the ones who tried to help me out but its that i wanted to get a netbook and ended up getting a full KV-notebook..so i dont need to build a portable DVD drive anymore cz i will have it in my HP-compaq :)
