After finishing an upgrade to a fiber optic backbone between my 3 locations, I have ran into an issue where my domains DHCP have seem to migrated into each other. Per example, I will call the two buildings with the issue east and west. Building east with the scope of 192.168.2.0/24 will assign computers the 2.0 scope IP’s within the West buildings own domain that has it’s own DHCP server with the scope of 192.168.1.0/24. But this does not work the other way around with 1.0 bleeding through to the 2.0 scope. My buildings are directly connected via fiber on layer 3 switches using static vlans and routes. Does anyone have an idea what would cause this. I can give show commands if anyone would like to see them. It bothers me because the computers should grap dhcp within the domain of their own building, not extend themselves over a static route to abtain an address. I’m no expert, but i’ve been doing this for about 2 years and never cam across this before. Please help me or point me in the right direction. Thanks you the cooperation.
