post SP1 on W3k server, now server unable to ping..NIC settings are ok

I applied the windows 2003 SP1 to my HP blades BL30p. they WERE running great. now the servers are unable to ping various IP address ( we use 10.100.x.x) and it is unable to ping the gateway. Yet (from the server)it can see and ping some of our devices ~~ 50 %. Some printers it can ping.. others no.. there is no commonality in what it can or can not ping. also i noticed some of my support PC ( win 2000 pro) now can not attach or ping these servers. the server firewall is NOT enabled. I did try enabling the FW then disabling it. not no luck.. I did try removing TCPIP service and the nics ( embedded) and reinstall those.. no luck.. humm any ideas? thanks
