Power Options unable add scheme

By deanyeo_43 ·
Hi, I am using IBM X60. Currently i have this problem. I can't add any scheme to power options. Unable my power options, there is only 1 scheme: Timers off(Presentation). Whenever i save a new scheme, when i close the PO window then reopen, the scheme will disappear. I had tried powercfg /restoredefaultpolicies but i am still unable to save new scheme.
Please assist.

Thanks ya.

Is the PC ACPI compliant?
Do you have Administrator priviledges on the PC?

ACPI is the modern Power Management features of most PCs which allow the PC to save power and is linked to the Power Options. A BIOS update can fix some of these problems, otherwise you will have to use the older APM features.
