Power Point automate button

By raned ·
Hello,

Can I automatically "play" a button on a power point slide? What I mean is, automatically (without mouse pressing the button) activate an action like open a file or run a program?

Thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy,
If you go to the menu bar "Slide Show\custom animation\play settings tab" you will see that you can automatically play movies, sounds, or objects. As far as opening programs I don't know. Some of the objects that can be added to slides are Excel, Word, etc. You might try it that way.

Good Luck,
Mike

Hello,
the answer is definitely NO. The only trigger actions supported are mouse click & Mouse over for an Option Button today. You can run any program like notepad, word or any executable file. If the program allows you you can open the respective files. Maybe in the next version of Power Point this might be possible. If you more info please contact me.
