One user in our remote office is complaining of a noisy fan on a power supply. We don’t have the tools needed to yank that fan off of the power supply so I am going to replace the power supply. What do I need to know so I can get another one from a different computer, or do I need to go buy a new one from the vendor? This will be the first time that I am replacing power supplies, what do I need to know before I jump head first into this project? The computer is a Gateway E-4200.
