Hey everyone,
I have my brothers HP Desktop which is not powering on at all. It was fine yesterday then he unplugged it after powering down and now it will not turn on.
I went to HP’s sight to t/s this issue because it has a Bestec power supply. This supply has a a led (flashing when all connections made) on the back to show power.
On the site, it says to remove all connections if there is a flashing LED then the power supply is bad.
The LED stays lit with no connections. I connected the mother board and the led starts flashing. With the hard drive connected and peripheral drives the light remains steady if the mother board is not connected.
I think the MB may have been fried, as according to the website, the power supply is good.
And if so is the processor, assuming it is not the problem, reusable? (sort of new to actual hardware)
