I built a PC this past weekend and all went well ~ when my friend got it home, they plugged it in and the power light comes on but the PC doesn’t spin up (no fan noise, hard drive, etc.). There is an amber light also on the unused LAN onboard connector. Any ideas out there? I had her plug directly into the wall after trying to start it numerous times using the on/off power switch. The only way to get the power light off, is to unplug the PC. It’s a PII celeron 800 (not overclocked) 128mb/20gb with an ASUS CUSIFX MB in a 250w ATX case. I am perplexed, she is upset, but, she lives 2 hours away, so I am looking to YOU all for much needed solutions! Thanks!
