Power Up

by Sylvain_L In reply to power up

Did you check the power settings in your BIOS? On many computers, the Power Stting options can be set to turn on when the power cord is plugged in or when power is re-established after a power failure.

Changing that option to Do Nothing or Stay Off would probably solve your issue

Could also be you PSU. I've had a couple cases where the PSU was sub-standard quality and this would happen. Though in my case it didnt actually boot, but powered up the fans/lights.

Well if this has been working OK previously

You need to replace the Power Supply as it's going faulty. If it hasn't worked previously it's a Setting in the BIOS that tells the system to start on Power when it is returned.

Most likely to be a substandard No Name PS though.
