power went off and..

Hi, i can’t load win2000 pro after lights went off.. there is a warning sayin “missing or corrupted files” winnt\system32\config\system…. please help…i have a dual boot stanalone pc with 2000 pro and win XP..i tried using the win2000pro CD but the system could not fix the problem..i can acces the partition where win2000 pro files are when logged into win XP, but i dont know what should i do next…help thanks
