Powerpoint glitch?

by red dragoon . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

In working with a Powerpoint presentation, my client discovered a problem. He had created some logos (.gif format) with transparent backgrounds — some black and some white. When the white logos are first brought into the presentation, they look great. But once the file is saved, closed and reopened, the logos become totally transparent. In other words, if you click where the logo was placed on the slide, the bounding box for the logo will show up, but you can’t see the logo. We thought this might be a Powerpoint glitch, but when my client was reviewing the presentation in the boardroom, the logos appeared just as they should. So, now we are wondering if it is an installation glitch. What would be different about the boardroom Powerpoint versus the version on my client’s PCs?
