PowerPoint link to open in Normal View?

    by space ·

I’ve got a link to a PowerPoint presentation on an intranet page (FrontPage), that needs to open in Normal View. By default, it opens in Slide Show (full screen) view. The author would like people to be able to view the notes for each slide, which you can’t do from Slide Show view. I’ve searched and searched. Any ideas?

      Partial Workaround

You “sort of” can. Under Tools | Options, select the General tab. Click on the Web Options button. On the General tab, make sure there is a check mark for the “Add slide navigation controls”. This should provide some buttons at the lower left corner of the full screen slide show. (They may only become visible when you hover your mouse pointer in that area.) There is a control that looks like a rectangle. Left click on it and a short menu will appear. One of the options is “Screen”. From that you can select “Speaker Notes”, which will open a window with the notes.
