PowerPoint object insert (Excel)

I am trying to insert an Excel spreadsheet that is rather wide. When I insert the object into PowerPoint a number of columns on the right are missing/out of the insert area. Though I may resize the object and even open the spreadsheet within PowerPoint, I am unable to adjust to have my desired content on screen.
My spreadsheet is wide enough that I use fit to page (page setup) to print on one landscape page. With this setting my object is scaled to about 70%
