PowerPoint Repair Fail

I've connected graphs in an excel spreadsheet with a powerpoint presentation. So when I update the graphs in excel, the graph in powerpoint updates automatically.

However, intermittently the powerpoint presentation claims there is a problem with the content and it needs to repair.

If I click repair or cancel on the first pop-up window, the powerpoint takes me to a second pop-window with the same question. In the background it loads the presentation and the graphs perfectly.

If I click on cancel at this point the presentation closes. If I click repair, it wipes all the slides it has successfully loaded in the background and replaces them with a red X.

Is there a way to simply access the slides that are being successfully loaded behind the pop-up?

What version of PowerPoint do you have?

Apparently, there is some error in the very structure of the data format you put in the Excel.
Have you tried to change the pattern of content? Maybe resetting might help.
You should do the same operation on another computer and see what is going to happen. If the window will not pop up, then it is the error of software.
