My Proxy Box (2000) is setup to listen on behalf of my Exchange box(NT) on port 25 for incoming messages. The Proxy crashed and had to be re-built a short time ago, ever since every now and then incoming mail will stop coming in through port 25 on the Proxy server. Can anyone give any insight as to why incoming mail comes in and works normally and then suddenly just stops for what seems no reason. I’ve done tests and it does seem that port 25 will just block recieving incoming mails. Is there some configuration on the proxy server that i have missed for this to happen.
