I have a Linux box, kernel 2.2.17. I need to connect to my ISP through ADSL. The connection between the box and ADSL modem works (I can ping the modem). I have installed ppp-mpe-2.3.15, pptp-client-1.0.2, I have recompiled ppp package, and for nothing. The problem is that the ADSL supplier requested me to connect to my ISP through it’s VPN (they have NT servers to redirect the traffic). All the docs involved in the above mentioned packages were read; the command line is issued right, and from the logs I get: module ppp-compress-21(26, 24) not found. But, as well, none of the packages earlier mentioned contain any “ppp-compress” module. If anyone already succedeed to connect to a VPN with CHAPMS… thank you!
