Ok So I’ve Got A Compaq Presario V2000 And Like Alot Of The Other Posts I’ve Seen Mine Wouldn’t Start Up So I Tried A Method I’d Seen On THe Boards, Removing And Reinserting The RAM, And It Would Allow The Laptop To Load The Compaq Screen For A Second And Then It Would Shut Back Off. After An Hour Of Arguing With Their Customer Support Team About How It’s A Known Problem That Should Have Prompted A Recall I Was Told THat THe Charge For Repair Would Be $298 So I Respectfully Declined. This Is Where The Story Gets Nutty I Walked Into The Other Room Got Something To Drink Came Back Hit The Power Button And Voila It Came On And Started right up loaded Windows And Then Slowed Almost To A Halt I’m Running The Hard Drive Diagnostic Right Now And I Was Wondering If Anyone Else Had This Problem And If So Get Any Ideas On How To Correct It. (Besides Not Buying Compaq :P) Any Help Would Be Awesome.
Well I’ve Figured Out That MY Hard Drive Is Bad And Now The Buttons On The Laptop Have Gone Wacky. I Know It’s Not The Laptop Itse;f Because An External USB Keyboard Isnt Working Either lol
