Ok the wireless device is shown as “unknown” in the device list, and even after installing the drivers it still does not work or recognize it as a network adapter. I tried updating the bios, switching on and off the wireless switch, reinstalling windows, opening up the laptop and making sure the wireless card was in snug.
None of it worked, and note that this happens on both Vista and Windows XP. Im currently using XP. Windows is seeing the device, it just doesnt know what it is, so i feel like theres a way to fix this. Note also that when i reinstalled windows the wireless worked for a little bit and suddenly is now once again seen as an unknown device and wont work. Any help would be much appreciated.
