Preserve formatting in Mail Merge email

When I do a bulk email using contacts and MS word, my document loses all of it's formatting and graphics and is changed in to plain text. How do I keep that from happening so that the mail merge documents look like the original documents created inWord. I have tried sending individual emails of the documents and they go through fine. It only happens when I do mail merge.

As silly as it sounds, there are only two ways to send Mail-merged docs. One is as plain text in the message and the other is the Word document is an attachment to the e-mail (which will preserve the formatting).

There is no way with any current version of Word to e-mail to rich text or HTML format in the e-mail body.
