Hi, I have a particular question to ask in relation to a damaged windows setup. The setup in no way corrupted my current and fully functional OS, however, it did leave what seems to be like a ghost continuation of a windows setup somewhere in my systems boot.
What happened was, I was attempting to upgrade to Vista and somewhere along the way, it failed. After cancelling installation and returning to normal, I found that each time i boot my machine up, it stops at what is similar to a DOS window, and asks if I’d like to continue with setup, or use and older version of windows (namely XP). Although it poses no problem for me, it’s rather annoying. Any suggestions on how to remove the ghost setup from the boot without formatting my machine would be very much appreciated. Cheers, trent.
