By mirtjha ·

Can any one of use provide the solution?

You should use lmhosts file in winnt\system32\drivers\etc directory

Type line like this:
102.54.94.97 server #PRE DOM:domainname

On the machine where you want to use servermanager. You can edit the lmhosts file (lmhosts whithout ext. there is a lmhosts.sam file locate in the directory do not use it)
Create a new lmhosts file.
For windows 9x place the lmhosts file in x:\windows directory for windows nt place it in the x:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc

The lmhosts file must look like this. (also see proposed answer 1)

192.168.0.2 servername #PRE #DOM:domainname
192.168.0.2 domainname #PRE

the second line is for really getting there, if you use only the first line, you can get errors.

You do not have to reboot your system. Just type nbtstat -R on the command promt and the cache will be reloaded. You can check is the lmhosts file is OK by pinging the name of the domains.

An other solutions is to use dns and a dns server where the domains are all listed.

Good luck,
Edwin

1. Check that the trust relationship is properly set up.
2. Each WINS server should have the names of all the other WINS servers.
3. Check that the PDC of that domain is up, connected to the network, and functioning properly.

Question:
Does this happen when you select any other domain or just one of the domains?
