primary trust relationship

By singh_surjit ·
I HAD 2 SERVERS IN MY LAB ON DIFFERENT DOMAINS ONE IS CAS ANOTHER ONE IS EUROPA
I AM ABLE TO ACCESS EUROPA SHARES FROM CAS.
BUT WHENEVER I TRY TO ACCESS CAS SHARE FROM
EUROPA SERVER I GIVES ERROR PRIMARY TRUST
RELATIONSHIP FAILS. WHATE CAN BETHE REASON.
AND IS THE SOLUTION SO THAT I CAN ACCESS.
EARLIER IN THE BEGINNING WHEN I INSTALLED CAS I WAS ABLE TO ACCESS IT FROM EUROPA. I HAD CHECKED ALL THE SHARES PERMISSIONS ALSO
AND SET FULL PERMISSIONS TO EVERYONE.

You'll need to verify or reset the Trust relationship co Cas trust Europa.

Make sure you have hostname resolution, either entries in LMHOSTS:

10.10.10.11 "EUROPA /0X1C" #PRE

and

10.10.11.11 "CAS /0x1C" #PRE

where the above IP addresses are the PDCs for Europa and CAS respectively, or good resolution in WINS. Make sure that only the PDCs' IP addresses are mapped to the domain name. Then, from the PDC, synchronize the domains, break, and reestablish the trusts. You may have to reboot (or use nbtstat -R) to clear and reload the name resolution cache.
