Print between networks

By wrydel ·
Hi, I have two networks (I mean one has 192.0.0.x addresses and 255.255.255.0 mask and the second 192.168.0.x and 255.255.255.0) and that networks are joined by router. This router I have configured with static route so if I make ping to any pc on the other network I receive response. I want print from pc 192.168.0.101 with win98 on a printer attached to pc 192.0.0.169 with winXP. Is it possible? How to install and configure the printer?

Thanks

You will need to have the Microsoft File and Print Sharing enabled.

The systems will need to be in the same domain or workgroup.

You will need to install and share the printer.

You will need to either create user accounts on the local resource (workgrups) or grant access to the share (domain accounts).

Also,

Sometimes Windows 98 machines just don't like Windows XP machines in sharing resources. Make sure though that the Firewall on the WinXP machine is set to off for file and print sharing.
