print buttons greyed out in Outlook

Very odd issue, I’ve searched and seen half a dozen other posts with the same issue here, but none of them ever have a solution which fixes it.

Happens on Win 98, NT and 2K, with Outlook 97, 98, 2000 and XP.

In any folder (inbox, sent items,contacts), the button and file menu command to print are both active, and will print whatever item is selected. After opening an item (contact, email, appointment, anything), the button and menu command are both greyed out. Hitting Ctrl-P will still print this item, but I’m sick of users forgetting this and calling again and again — I want to fix it! I’ve tried technet and mskb, as well as all solutions listed in previous posts here. Anyone have further suggestions?
