I have three B/W Kyocera KX-2000D printers in my middle school lab. We are running WinXPsp3. I am looking for a way to control printing on those printers. I would prefer a simple solution like a popup box requiring a password to print.
Does anyone have a solution for me?

We are good but not quite that good as we need to know what is involved in the way of OS's in use and what type of Network is involved here.
However if it is a Workgroup I do not know of any way to get a Password to allow the use off a Printer.
Depending on the type of Domain if there is one and how it is configured it may be possible to achieve by going to the unit/s that the printer/s is connected to and Right Clicking on each printer one at a time and then left click on Sharing and then Security and enable a Password there. Some versions of Windows Server support this option.
