print restrictions

I have a win 2k domain with 2k pro users and i like to restrict a group of users to 10 prints a day.
is there any way to do that using AD or any built in featurs in win2k server. and if not do u know of any program that can do this for me?

I know you can restrict their printing time. Go to the properties of the printer and Advance.

Thanks ... that i know my self
but these are HS students and once they see a laser printer they its ok to print hundresds of prints in 5 minutes. and they need to have access, so i have to limit how many pages they can print.

Put 10 sheets of paper in the tray and lock the tray with a lock. When the printer is out of paper it will stop printing. If there are more jobs in the print queue, you may delete them.

I like to give each one 10 prints a day and there are others who use the printer and they should have full right.. so this is not a possiblity

I don't know of a native way of doing this on a Windows Server - there are a bunch of scripts available for unix/linux boxes.

I did come across a program called PaperCut awhile back for another school client. You can look at it at www.papercut.biz

They even have a 5 user free package.

It is rather nifty and was developed originally for schools usage.

Oh by the way there is another product, I think the name is PrintQuota Manager. Don't recall the site for that one.
