Does anyone have a workaround for doing a print screen from a dos app that runs in a window on a W2K pro box? I have captured the printer to LPT1 but when I try PrtScn or Alt+PrtScn, nothing. ANy help would be appreciated.

Print Screen key now just copies the current display to memory. You can paste this data into paint or other programs and then print the resulting image. Or, there are many Print Screen programs out there now that allow you do use the old functionality of the standard print screen key. Just search for Print Screen on such sites as TuCows.com and WinFiles.com
The simplest method to capture an "image" from a DOS window to any kind of documents, it's the following: - use the mouse pointer and like when you want to sellect a paragraph in word, do the same thing over the entire text you want to capture. - once you did that, let the mouse off, and press enter - open then any document you like to transfer the data in the screen - lets say word, and use CTRL-V to paste the information from the DOS window.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
