Print Server config. in a multi-OS site

By sidmach ·
I have 2 Compaq(Digital) LG12 line printers originally in an OpenVMS ALPHA network. Due to new developments, I have fixed the printers on the parallel ports of two D-LINK 2-port external print servers. How do I go about making these printers available to my users on an Windows NT4.0, Netware 4.1x and OpenVMS ALPHA 7.2-1 integrated network on one TCP/IP sub-net ? Please help ASAP

you may want to go get HP jetdirect boxes, I don't know the linksys boxes. the JETDIRECT WILL TAKE MULTIABLE JOB STREAMS. But the way NT looks at it is just a LPR print device. you have to define the port as the boxes ip address (the dec prints to this to but your dec admin may not know this because it never says it is) anyway you define the nt port using the ip address and away it goes no problem at least not with a hp jetdirect.
