Print Spooler

By litlhlpr ·
Can anyone help?
Why would a print spooler continuously turn off? I turn it on; the next day it's turned off.The user is on Win2000.No software has recently been installed.

I can only think of two possibilities:
1. The Print Spooler Service has the start-up type set to Manual instead of Automatic. In this case, if the computer in question is turned off at night, the spooler service will not automatically restart when the computer is turned back on.
2. Something is causing the spooler service to crash (which usually turns the service off). Check through your event logs for anything that may be related.

Thanks, Tim. However, this (Print Spooler stopping) is occurring throughout our office - has been for over a month now. It occurs sporadically and ends the same way. We have Zenworks running; I hate to caste fault, but ever since...Nothing in the Event Logs, however.
