I as using the Win2000 Terminal Server for remote printing for about a dozen printers of various makes and models. I recently attempted to install the driver for the HPDeskjet 1220C (W9 onto the terminal server. The installation failed ...sorry Idon't recall the error message if there was one. Since then, whenever the remote client (which has the HPDJ1220C attached to its LPT1 port) logs on to the terminal server, and even when he doesn't, the print spooler on the Terminal Server stops which then prevents all remote clients from printing from their remote sessions. The printer works fine on the local PC(W9 and is shared on its local LAN with a WNT4. Usually, I can simply re-start the print spooler service but on several occasions, I have had to re-boot the server. How can I find/remove any vestiges of this printer driver?

You can verify what drivers have been installed ( in WinFrame, Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server, and Windows 2000) by checking the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments \Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-1 (WinFrame)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments \Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2 (Terminal Server)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments \Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3 (Windows 2000)
