Print Tracking

By leftyness ·
My company is currently looking for ways to track all jobs printed from our printers and write the information from each print to a file. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of print server do you have?

1st thing is first...

If you have an NT4 print server, then Open User Manager, click on Tools, Auditing (or user priviledges), then select the item for print logging....

It's been a LONG time since I've done this and I don't have NT4 any more, so I am vaguely correct, the actual process may be worded differently, but it's in this area where you accomplish it.
