printer access

By Seadogs ·
I have a user on a w2k ads domain that has baffling issues with connecting to printers. He is running w2k sp2 on a 4.5 GB hd with .8 GB free. He has regular domain access as most of our users do. Everything works fine except when I connect to a printer, it shows up as access denied in his printers folder and he is unable to print. Nobody else is having this issue. The print server is w2k server sp2. Any ideas?

I would suggest you to re-examine the security rights on the printer server, on the printer itself. This problem happened to me before and the problem is that on that particular printer that my user is trying to print, he was not given any rights toit. Same error message.

My users was included in group of users which have the rights to print to that particular printer. In my case, I forgot to add him to that particular group.

Hope this helps.
