printer causes reboot

Within the last three weeks, this problem has started. If I have my computer up and running, and turn my printer on, my computer reboots!

I have PIII, Win 98, using HP4 laser printer.

This didn’t happen until about three weeks ago. Haven’t loaded anything new; have only downloaded critical updates from Microsoft, and Norton Live updates.
