printer created when terminal services s

By ldregely ·
From Event Viewer the following is listed:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Print
Event I 2
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Printer HP LaserJet III/LTD/Session 1 was created.

Whenever I start Terminal Services Client the sever automatically creates this particular printer. How does this get created in my printer folder without my help?

These events are logged when a Terminal Services client with a local printer attached connects to a server. The server loads the drivers for the client's local printer to enable the client to print to its local printer from within the client session.

You can't turn this off, but can turn Off Informational Events:

1. Go into your printer folder, and then click File.
2. Click Server Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. The spooler events can then be turned off.

If you turn off Information Events, you no longer write to the System log when you print documents

In AD Users and Computers, you can specify user rights to TS to allow Local Printers. When you allow Local Printers and the server contains the supplied Printer Driver, the TS creates a printer session for the connected user to use while logged in to print locally.
