printer error

I had problem useing the Laser jet 1200 and it connect on the jetdirect300x, in our company, we had some data will automaticaly print throuth the print server
and some printer some time will print out some blank paper with two line on it, PCL XL Error, Illeagle media size, some time it will print out this two line. all the printer are connet to one print server Win2000 server, it happen's very offen, I conect HP they told me it is Driver error, but I reinstall the driver. It still the same.can any one told me how do I slove this problem. I boos ask to slove this problem.

Tommy, make sure that you're downloading the most recent driver from HP's site, rather than re-installing the current driver built into Windows. Those are "umbrella" drivers most of the time that cover more than one printer.

Another "common HP fix" is to install the 4Si driver for whatever printer you're using. For some reason the 4si driver seems to work for a LOT of printers.

this can be confusing! it sounds like printer is configure to print errors out. go over printer manual with find tooth comb. understand how each tray is configured. each tray can be setup to 'know' what it contains, legal size, letter size, envelopes etc. Also, Word, for example 'knows' what it wants to print to... the document properties are configure for letter, legal, envelope etc... i believe your problem is coming from mismatch there...
get is so you can reproduce the problem at will, then see how Word is configured (which paper type? which tray on printer) and you will find the problem...
