Since applying SP3, there aer multiple listings of each published printer in active directory. Each time the printer server is restarted, and additional listing is added. Once a printer is added to the print server and publised, one occurrence is listed, but when the server is restarted two occurrences are listed for the exact same printer, and it continues to add a listing after each reboot. If the printer is removed (unshared) from Active Directory, only the “true” object is removed. All “ghost” items remain. Then the printer can’t be added to workstations. All “ghost” listings become capable of being chosen from the list once the printer is again published. It generates a system event 10, lists the document size in bytes, but says it printed 0.
