Printer installation issue

By Bratt ·
I just built a new system for one of our Cad engineers and finished installing all the printers but one. I am trying to install a Konica 745 that is on the network and I have done it a million times but for some reason I get a message that popps up at the end of the installation that says "printer drivers not installed, access denied". I have tried installing the printer logged in as admin and the user but still the same results. I have tried downloading the newest drivers to the local drive and installing from there and that to does not work. The system I am working on is a P-4 with 1 gig of mem running Windows 2000 with all the latest service packs installed. Any ideas or suggestions?

Can you install the drivers locally using Add/Remove programs under control panel. Then install the network printer, just use the local printer drivers.

I tried installing the printer from a floppy, from the network, and from the local hard drive and I get the same result each time. I can go and install the same printer on another users system with no problems. I have opened up the C:\WINNT\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 folder and watched during the installation as it places the needed files in the 2 foloder but once it gets to the end of the installation it takes them back out and leaves the folder with no installation files. It also says something about can't find Microsoft Digitally sighned certificate but I have never seen that before either when I install the same files on other machines.

Me too was facing the same problem with one of
our network printers having assigned IP address.
Finally only thing which worked for me was,
i reformated the machine and installed windows
again, it was fine.
