Printer + Jet Direct + little experence

I have an hp 2100 with a jet direct card, configured for IPX on a small LAN with a Novell 4.11 server. I have loaded pserver.nlm on the server and created the queue, printer and print server objects in NWAdmin. I create the printer on the workstation and try a test print but the job doesn’t go to the printer, it says in the queue on the Novell server. When I open pconsole and check the status of the job it says it is ready. On the job list page of the print queue it says it is waiting for the print server. How do I start the print server?

After you create a queue in NWAdmin, you must go to the server console and unload the pserver.nlm then load it again. Then your print queue can hook up to the print server. GOOD LUCK.

The best think to use with HP printer is HP Jet Admin. It will setup the printer as a print server.

You can download the Jet Admin software from the following link: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpjetadmin7644_swen.html

You would the print a test page from the printer and use the network address to find and setup in Jet Admin. Email if you need futher info on settin up the printer.

I used ver 3.42 of JetAdmin and created the Queue, printer and server from JetAdmin , but got the same results. Thanks for trying
