    printer problem

    i have a laserjet 1005 series printer. when i print the data is printing twice or thrice and bold lines and ink shades are displaying horizontally. i disconnected the power supply and connected after 10 min its printed well. but this error is repeating again and again. plz let me know what can i do to rectify it?

      Turn off the Printer
      Unplug it from your computer
      Goto the printers section of the control panel
      Delete every instance of the Printer
      Restert your computer
      Check printers again to see that it is gone
      Reconnect cable to connect PC to printer
      Turn printer on
      Wait a minute to see if windows detects and installs it
      If not reinstall the printer using the add printer button or download latest driver from the manufacturer site on the internet.

      Try getting fresh copy of the printer driver from: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

      Reinstall the drivers…cold boot it and see if this solves the problem. I had this problem with my users running the HP LJ 4300 printers as well. Had to use some ‘rare’ drivers to fix it.
