Printer problem

By jpwindowfilms ·
Hi, I have just installed a Epson Stylus Color 680 but it will not print what I want.
It keeps printing a line of random letters and symbold on one pice of paper and repeats this on mayny pieces of paper with different letters and symbols, do you know of any way to cure this problem?

2 things...

1. Download latest print drivers from the web for your os, remove old printer, install new drivers.

2. Sounds like if #1 doesn't work, you could have the "BUGBEAR" virus... prints lines of misc. characters to a printer.... #1 should fix it, if not, time for a thorough scan of your system.

Good luck

Hi - From what I conclude you are have a drive issue try using a different printer driver either a PCL or PS, or try downloading an updated drive for the printer that works with your os.

delete the printer driver you installed and reinstall it to make sure everything is ok - and when you are done make sure you do a windows test page to make sure windows is communicating with the printer, since if the problem happens in a program then you know something is wrong with the program you are using.
