Printer problems using Access 2000

By yvonne ·
I am having a printing problem. I am using Access 2000 and an HP DeskJet 6122 printer. The printer doesn't print the gridlines. If I hook up a different printer, the gridlines print. Is this a problem with Access or with HP? Why would HP develop a printer that is not capatible with Access? Doesn't make sense to me!

To ask a common question, are the HP 6122 drivers up to date.

If you hook a different printer but it is the same model, I would look at the printer. Typically, HP printers can print in either PCL or Postscript mode. Compare the modes the two printers are setup in and see if they are the same. Change the original printer to the same mode as the replacement printer and see if the gridlines print.

access 2000 print problem

I use Microsoft Office 2000 suite with a HP Photosmart C5580 printer. The printer works fine with Excel 2000 and Word 2000 but does not print the reports in Access 2000. The error says something about a USB002 problem. I have replaced the driver from HP and even reinstalled Office suite 2000. Help
