printer settings

By kpike2 ·
I am running a program that can scan insurance cards. When I am viewing the card the brightness looks ok and I can print it and view everything on the card. However, if other people print the card the print may be the same, but sometimes they are almost too dark to read (even if the view on the PC is fine) -- My questions is "Is there a way to change the darkness/brightness setting in the printer properties (HPLJ6p and HPLJ2100)? Thanks!

It depends on your OS. In Windows XP you can right click the printer ICON and click on properties, then click on Color Management Tab. Then the window will give you an option for Automatic or Manual selection of the color setting.

I am running Windows 2000 and there is no option like the one you mentioned. I will just contact HP directly and see what they can tell me. Thanks anyway!
