We have a problem printing to one of our local printers. We are primarily printing small word documents from the local machine. 9 times out of 10 a simple text word document can take up to 5 minutes to print out. Is there anything that could be causing this? The printer is an HP 970 color deskjet attached directly to a gateway P-266 w/192 MB of RAm. There is about 300 MB free space on the C-drive and a couple gigs on the D-drive. I had moved the print spool to the d-drive in an effort to speed it up with little success. It is running Windows NT sp6a with recent windows updates and office 2000 sr1/sp2. The current printer settings are to spool print jobs and then start printing immediately. Other than this problem the pc runs fine. If anyone has any suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
