Printer Wizard

Within windows 2000 the resource kit has a list of tools that can manipulate all the functions you've mentioned.

They are all VB scripts and are prefaced with prn*.vbs

At last count they where:

prncfg
prnctrl
prndata
prnmgr

As for win9x I was never aware of any tools.

hope this helps

jb.

Check out technet article http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q177/0/76.asp (no spaces)
which explains how to do this on a Win95 machine.

To start the Add Printer wizard at a command prompt, follow these steps:

Click Start, point to Programs, and then click MS-DOS Prompt.

At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

rundll32.exe sysdm.cpl,InstallDevice_Rundll printer

NOTE: This command line is case sensitive. You should type the line exactly as shown.
