    Printer WPA3 not compatible

    by romperpomper ·

    Hello,

My USB/WiFi printer is not compatible with WiFi WPA3 standard and I am unable to print wireless without downgrading WLAN settings into WPA2.

Is there any roundabout method to keep WPA3 on WLAN and share the printer wireless on network. Might print servers be a solution?

    Thank you,

You’ll have to buy something that understands WiFi3 or only use the USB connection.

From a Windows PC in your home network you can print to a USB connected printer on another Windows PC. But that wouldn’t work for printing from a smartphone or tablet. For that you need to have a printer that can communicate with your WPA2 phone or tablet via WiFi Direct to circumvent your WPA3 router.

      Buying another printer seems easier.

We use WPA2 since the issues are not ones we are concerned about since our WiFi only goes to the next house.

Another fix would be some WPA3 compatible Ethernet adapter. You omitted the printer model so I can’t be sure this is a fix.
