PRINTER.PRINTQUALITY PROBLEM

by rgans70291 . Updated 22 years, 11 months ago

Symptom: Attempting to change print quality
in a VB6.0 program driving a C62 Epson ink jet
printer using XP.

PRINTER.PRINTQUALITY=120 OR -1

does not change print quality and the variable
PRINTER.PRINTQUALITY remains zero.

X = PRINTER.PRINTQUALITY

does yield the correct setting of quality i.e.
120/360/720 ect. as a READ variable. All other
parms such as PRINTER.COPIES work correctly.

I have tried a Microsoft fix (Article 322710)
Vbprndlg.dll but this does not correct the
problem. Any feedback appreciated.
