Printing Excel in DOS

By cwleng ·
I would like to print an Excel file with all the columm and row set inside the
file on another NT Workstation 4.0 which does not have Excel application installed.I'm using print
to file and save as .prn.Can I know how to printout the file in NT Workstation Dos Prompt
together with the columm and row format that I have set and save as prn format earlier on in
an Excel application.
Please advise.
Thanks

From the DOS prompt, simply copy the .prn file to the printer.

If the printer is local to that machine the DOS command would be:

copy file.prn>prn (prn = the default printer)
or
copy file.prn lpt2

If the printer is a network device, the DOS command would be:

copy file.prn \\servername\printdevice

Try it, it may work for you.
