Printing from DOS

By Benci ·
Hello!
I am trying to print to a network printer from DOS on a WINNT4.0 Workstation. It prints fine to the local printer, but it doesn't do so when I try to print to an HP8000 network printer. Can someone tell me what I should do !?
Thank you in advance

You may need to add a line to your login script like:

NET USE lpt1 \\%computername%\%printer share name%

What we do is go to the DOS prompt then...
net use lpt1:\\server\hp8000 /p:y
This redirects the lpt1 port to that printer.
/p:y is /persistent:yes to stay there after reboot.
